portrait_denkmal_3__1416860867.jpgTobias Langguth is a mainly self-taught guitarist who was born in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1957. In 1979, he started his career as a professional musician performing bebop and modern jazz styles of music.

He went on to play in many different bands like the Chris Haskins Band, Joe Wulf’s Gentlemen of Swing, Acoustic Avenue, and performing with solo artists like Viviane de Farias, Hans "João" Limburg, Rachel Gould, to name a few.

Beyond that, he developed a deep interest in Brazilian music. This inspired his own compositions in which he combined Brazilian bossa nova and samba with jazz and fusion styles. From 1988 on, he has had his own band publishing various albums. In 1999, he discovered his interest in singing and the Portuguese language. Consequently, he started with his own interpretations of the world famous bossa nova hits. In the meantime, his long-established interests in rock'n'roll, blues and country style music have also revived.
Today Tobias Langguth offers a highly flexible mix of jazz, rock and bossa nova.
